<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">The Department of Botany has a proud history of nearly four decades. The department was
established in a humble way in a small lab with basic infrastructure, but has grown today and
developed in a manner to give pride to the Institution.</p>

<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">Since the inception of the department the results have always been 100%. Students passing out of
the department have been placed in reputed labs, Institutions, Organizations and pharmaceutical
companies in India and abroad. Many of the students are pursuing their higher studies, both in
India and abroad. Some of the students are placed in State and Central government
organizations.</p>
<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">The department strives hard to give students hands on experimental learning and inculcate
research culture through various in-house projects and Industry collaborative trainings.</p>
<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">The department conducts various activities to bring about the overall development in students
personality. Quarterly newsletters are published by the students bringing out different articles
and compilations.</p>
<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">The department also organizes lecture series, Seminars and workshops to create awareness about the latest developments in the field of Botany.</p>
<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">The department envisions and always tries to raise the standard of teaching learning, infrastructural facilities in order to be on par with International Institutions and bridge the gap between academia and Industry.</p>
<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">The PG course in this Department is much sought after by students as the Institution is accredited by NAAC and has CPE status along with the department being known for its academic excellence and good results.</p>
<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">The department has a rich confluence of Senior staff with enthusiastic young staff. The faculty are well qualified and dedicated for effective teaching.</p>
<p style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;">The milestone in the history of the department was the introduction of PG Botany course in 2014.</p>
